Jim Phillips draws from knowledge gained working with companies as small as new innovative start-ups to large Fortune 100 companies during the past 35 years. Following his passion for visual communication and advertising photography, Jim became a self-taught photographer and programmer for multi-media winning numerous awards. With a passion for visual communications, Jim learned AV show production, a natural fit to combine with his photographic visuals. As he began to gain awards for his creative, both his corporate venues and business began to grow. Throughout his 30+ year career, including his role of CEO of Rocket Advertising, Jim has created the positioning, marketing, advertising, and most importantly profits for global brands like General Electric, Toshiba, Johnson & Johnson, Essilor, General Electric, Siemens, and a host of other companies. Products as diverse as turbine engines to eyeglass lenses have all benefited from Jim’s counsel on branding and positioning.
With nearly 25 years of public relations experience, Carmen has helped biotechnology, medical device and diagnostic companies gain awareness and recognition in the news and on Wall Street. She has launched and supported numerous ophthalmic, neurologic, cardiac, oncological, dermatological, respiratory and endocrinological therapeutics, as well as medical devices, lasers, drug delivery systems, gene sequencing instruments, diagnostics and laboratory products. In addition, Carmen has also promoted award-winning disease awareness initiatives by bridging the work of worldwide advocacy organizations, research institutions and pharmaceutical companies.
In agency roles, Carmen has represented Carl Zeiss Meditec, the International Modulation Society, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and many other public and private healthcare companies. Carmen was the President of CoActive Communications from 2004 – 2019 and she held senior communications positions at both Dorland Global and MCS Public Relations.
With decades of advertising agency and market research experience, Kim provides strategic planning, market research and tactical marcom solutions to build and sustain solid brands. Given his health care advertising agency background, Kim provides everything from strategic planning to market research to tactical solutions. Kim was previously a partner with Dorland Global, where he was responsible for 40% of the agency billings. At Dorland, Kim successfully launched new categories, created recognizable healthcare brands and introduced innovative products to U.S. and global markets. His clients included VISX, Novartis, Biocompatibles, Zeiss, Bausch and Lomb, Pharmacia, BMS, and Johnson & Johnson. He was also the Director of Marketing at Neuronetics, makers of the NeuroStar TMS Therapy® Non-invasive treatment for depression.
At R3, Kim’s passion is to work one-on-one with a dedicated client base to spearhead ‘right-brain’ market research projects, oversee brand development and implement tactical marcom campaigns. Kim is the recipient of the prestigious ADDY award for a ground-breaking professional medical education program on behalf of Novartis.
After building a very successful multidisciplinary eye care practice for two decades in southeastern Pennsylvania, Richard transitioned to global executive leadership positions with Johnson & Johnson Vision and CooperVision. As director and president of The Vision Care Institute, LLC in Jacksonville, Florida, his multi-media programs trained thousands of optometric students and residents to prescribe new technology contact lenses. He has also worked with tech start-up companies introducing the world’s ﬁrst electronic focusing spectacle lenses. Having served as a clinical editor for a major eye care journal honed his writing skills. When new technology is introduced, companies often struggle with complex messaging. The ability to create great digital content that is both simple to understand and memorable is skill sought by many companies.
